Guidelines for Authors

Guidelines for Authors

Orange Journal is an international, open-access scientific publication with continuous periodicity, published in electronic format. It is dedicated to the dissemination of research and intellectual production in the areas of Natural and Exact Sciences and Health Sciences, with a distinctive emphasis on pharmacology, traditional medicine, and pharmaceutical chemistry. Below are the guidelines and processes authors must follow to submit their manuscripts.

General Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

  1. Originality and Exclusivity:

  • The journal only accepts original and unpublished works derived from research projects formally registered with a recognized institution. The manuscript must not have been published nor be under consideration by another journal.
  • Before submitting a manuscript, authors must complete the Declaration of Originality form (Declaration of Originality Form), stating that the document is original and has not been submitted for peer review to another journal. This step is mandatory for the manuscript to be considered for review.
  • The form includes a checkbox that authors may tick if they wish to join the journal’s reviewer database.
  • The journal uses Turnitin Similarity Check software to evaluate content similarity. The similarity report is subject to qualitative analysis to determine whether the article may proceed to peer review.

  1. Article Submission Template
  • Authors must use the official template provided by Orange Journal to prepare their manuscripts. This ensures that all articles comply with the journal’s required formatting and structural guidelines.
  • Article Template [Download]
Authors must be registered with ORCID. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique and persistent identifier for researchers and scholars.
  • Manuscripts must follow APA style (6th edition) for all in-text citations and bibliographic references. This ensures consistency and professionalism in the presentation of academic work.
  1. Manuscript Submission
  • Authors must send their manuscript, along with confirmation that they have completed the Declaration of Originality form, to the email address: orangejournalofficial@gmail.com. Submission of an article does not guarantee its publication.
  • An author may not publish more than one article per volume of Orange Journal, that is, within the same year. This rule aims to ensure fairness in publication, promote diversity in research, and prevent the concentration of articles by a single author in a given period. Authors may submit a new manuscript only in the following volume.
  1. Fees and Charges
  • Orange Journal does not charge APCs (Article Processing Charges) or submission fees. All articles are published free of charge.
